If you’ve not heard about them, Site Mailboxes are a great way for teams to collaborate within Exchange and SharePoint 2013. If you’re using Office 365, you get them in Wave 15 out of the box. However on-premises, you’ll have to do a little more integration to get things running smoothly. For Exchange admins, SharePoint can seem daunting at first. However once you’ve installed it you’ll realise SharePoint is nothing more than a glorified web server (That’s a joke!!!!).
In my latest SearchExchange article, I show you how to configure the basics in SharePoint and perform the all-important integration of Exchange and SharePoint to allow you to provision Site Mailboxes via SharePoint, then use them in Outlook. Try this out in a lab, and you’ll be a Site Mailboxes expert within a couple of hours!
