If you’ve used my Exchange Environment Report in the past, you’ll know it’s great for getting a high level view of most Exchange environments. With more Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013 migrations coming along there’s more reason than ever that you’ll want to use the report against Exchange 2007-only environments.
Many more modern Exchange 2007 implementations will use PowerShell version 2.0, and if so then the standard version of the Exchange Environment Report is absolutely fine to use – and of course it can be ran from an administrative workstation running a modern version of PowerShell.
However, I’ve recently worked with a few Exchange 2007 implementations that were still on the older, initial version of PowerShell, version 1.0. It’s not always practical to upgrade PowerShell or install tools elsewhere when you just want to get the Exchange Environment Report, so to make this task easier, I’ve created an alternative version of the script only for Exchange 2007 with PowerShell v1.0 environments.
Download the PowerShell V1.0 version of the Exchange Environment Report from here; and if don’t forget – for Exchange 2010, 2013 and of course Exchange 2007 w/ PSv2, just use the standard version of the Exchange Environment Report available from the usual link.
Happy reporting!
