Today at Microsoft Ignite we recorded the latest episode of All About 365 with Jay and Steve, and welcomed Phoummala Schmit – AKA @ExchangeGoddess on Twitter. Phoummala Schmit is a Cloud Ops Advocate at Microsoft, a VMware vExpert, and formally Exchange admin and systems team lead with many years of experience working in the enterprise.

On the show today we wanted to understand a little more about Cloud Ops and what Phoummala’s focus is there, and chat about how Microsoft have shifted from what has been perceived as a niche focus on a part of the IT community – developers – back to the wider picture. In line with the Ignite keynote – use commodity tools and only develop code where it provides benefits back to the business, we wanted to get Phoummala’s take on whether that means less developers in the future and more IT pros, or the reverse.
